Hinesville real estate brokers George and Babs Holtzman continue to set goals in Liberty County and marked the grand opening of their All American Center on Feb. 15 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration.
“I’m absolutely excited,” George Holtzman said about the opening.
The retail/office center on E.G. Miles Parkway is home to three businesses and a may house more, he said. Among those already settled in is the Peacock Paint Store. Longtime Hinesville business owner Thomas Peacock moved the store from downtown late last year.
The Holtzmans’ insurance and residential real estate offices have also set up operations.
“I call this my executive office because it’s clean and organized,” Holtzman joked.
He still operates out of the commercial real estate office on Gen. Stewart Way.
One of Holtzman’s newest ventures, a storage and U-Haul business, is in the center. Customers have private coded gate entry as added security, Holtzman said.
“They will fill the gap for households and business owners who need storage and warehousing,” he said.
The center’s retail spaces are complete and other plans are coming off the drawing board. They include a second 10,500 square foot building for additional warehousing and storage.
The building is under construction with five units of 2,100 square feet each designed for office warehousing, Holtzman said. Each unit will have a small office space up front and a back portion for warehousing and storage. The offices are designed for non-industrial retailers, such as vendors, painters and other contractors, and people who need a small office space for administrative purposes and then just need a small space to store materials. He said the spaces would be available June 1.
At completion the entire project will be 95,000 square feet.

The Holtzmans have lived in Hinesville for more than 25 years. George Holtzman began his career in 1974 in Atlanta. Eight months into his career he learned of the reactivation of the 24th Infantry Division at Fort Stewart. A native of North Carolina and a Vietnam Army veteran, he liked the Hinesville/Fort Stewart area and the future it offered to his wife, Babs, and their son, Greg. They moved to Hinesville in 1975.
The Holtzmans opened Holtzman and Barnes, Realtors in April of 1978 on Memorial Drive. They moved into the Gen. Stewart building in 1979. He and his wife acquired John Barnes’ interest in the business and renamed the company Holtzman and Associates in July of 1980. They joined the Coldwell Banker family in 1984.
Babs Holtzman is associate broker and co-owner of the company. She supervises the property management section and the insurance company.
