First Presbyterian Christian Academy is the victor of the Under Armour Undeniable challenge this year. The winner was named Friday night at the company's High School All-America game in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The high school with enrollment about 200 beat out a much larger school, Needham Broughton High School from Raleigh, N.C., in final internet voting. The winner will receive more than $140,000 worth of athletic equipment, attire and accessories from the sportswear company.

School representatives at the presentation included Maria Reed, director of educational media for the school. Students Bethany Lormis and Trevon Harris joined her, and they waited hand-in-hand as the winner was announced.

“This competition was intense," the announcer said. "There were more than 5 million points earned nationally, and both schools were outstanding. But there’s one winner for the 2013 Under Armour Undeniable High School, and it's from Hinesvilla, Georgia.”

Reed and the students cheered, jumped and hugged each other upon hearing the news.

The Highlanders, who launched a football team this year, also competed last year in the first-ever competition, and they came in a close second but were commended for their spirit. This fall they took the competition to new heights and vowed that win or lose, it would be their last year because the experience was so demanding.
