Former FPCA Highlander Jordan Johnson had a career-high 35 points in East Georgia College’s first-round playoff game against Central Georgia Tech, propelling the Bobcats to an 86-77 win last Tuesday.
The victory allowed the Bobcats to advance to the Georgia College Athletic Association regional semi-final game, which was scheduled for Friday night against local rival Middle Georgia College.
Johnson scored 15 of his points from beyond the arc and nabbed four rebounds, two assists and four steals in the contest.
DJ Felder, another former Highlander, chipped in 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds during his 33 minutes on the floor.
Former Bradwell Tiger Jon Blair had four rebounds and added six points in the effort, and former Tiger teammate Jalen Watson grabbed five rebounds and chipped in two points in the game.
As of Friday morning, the Bobcats were 28-2 overall and 19-1 in the conference.
