National Football League player and Bradwell Institute alumnus Gary Guyton will deliver the keynote address March 30 at the 19th annual Eleven Black Men of Liberty County banquet in Fort Stewart’s Club Ballroom, 1020 Hero Road, building 405.
The banquet, which draws business leaders, educators, and community supporters, will begin with a reception at 6:15 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
The Eleven Black Men is a mentoring organization which advocates spiritual, educational and social development.  Each young man in the mentoring program is dubbed a trendsetter.
Trendsetter Alumni Teddrick Brown, 27, will be spotlighted during this year’s banquet. Brown, a 2002 Bradwell graduate, is the director of Post Acute Care, a home-health division of Phoebe Putney Health Systems, which covers 14 southwest Georgia counties.
Guyton, a 2004 Bradwell graduate, played college football at Georgia Tech, was signed by the New England Patriots in 2008 as a free agent. He currently is a linebacker for the San Diego Chargers.
“I am really excited about being the keynote speaker, and to be a part of this is nothing short of amazing,” Guyton said.  “I feel honored to see these young men and grateful to speak. Giving back has always been important to me, and I am a firm believer in paying it forward.”
“I think it is great that Gary is giving back to the community, this gives the youth of Liberty County a chance to see firsthand that if they work hard they too can have an abundant amount of opportunities for success,” Brown said.
