First Presbyterian Christian Academy has been serving up wins in tennis this season, with the girls’ team 4-0 and the boys’ team sitting at 2-2 as of Tuesday. The girls have beaten Heritage Christian twice and Citizens Christian twice. According to head coach April Causer and assistant Ami Whilden, Lady ’Lander Stephanie Scavo is 4-0 at No. 1 singles, YuTing Zhang is 2-2 at No. 2, and Sarah McPhearson is 4-0 at No. 3. Michelle Roberts is 2-2 at No. 1 doubles and Alex Moses is 2-1 in that position. The team of Vanessa Bauer and Rebecca Loury is 2-2 at No. 2 doubles. The coaches said the boys beat Heritage Christian twice but lost twice to Citizens Christian. Tyler Causer is 2-2 at No. 1 singles. Cody Smith is 1-0 at No. 2, and Joseph Alifi is 1-0 at No. 3 singles. The boys have not played in double matches. FPCA will host Brentwood at 4 p.m. Thursday in James Brown Park.
