The first-ever Classic Hinesville Downtown Easter Egg Roll, hosted by the Hinesville Downtown Development Authority, runs from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday. The event at Bryant Commons will include an Easter-egg roll, kite flying, a bunny spot, readings by children’s author Stephanie Sisler, sports, crafts and an Easter market.
After children roll eggs with spoons, they can pose for photos with the Easter Bunny.
Sisler will read from her novel, “One Bright Monster,” at the amphitheater at 11 a.m. and noon. Sisler lives in Cocoa Beach, Fla., but is a Liberty County native.
Families also can tour of the ITPA museum inside Bryant Commons’ main house. Tours start at 10:30 a.m. and will continue throughout the event.
Downtown comic book and hobby store Jungle Jakes will sell kites, and families can bring their own kites.
Egg rolling starts at 10:45 a.m. on the main hill in front of the amphitheater and takes place every 15 minutes. The roll is open to children ages 2- 10.
Bryant Commons is at 438 W. Oglethorpe Highway. On-site parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 877-4332 or email discoverdowntown@coastalnow.net.
