Liberty County Superior Court Judge Robert Russell decided Monday there was enough evidence to move the case against Candice Boles forward.

Boles stands accused of one count each of cruelty to children and being a party to murder following the death of her daughter, Andraia Boles nearly two months ago.

The judge also set bond at $200,000. Boles’ attorney Earl Duncan argued for the bond.

Testimony presented by Hinesville Police Det. Doug Snider painted a sad story about the young girls’ life between June 2012 and her death, alleging her mother placed snacking and playing video games over her care. Testimony revealed the young girl was likely kept locked in a bathroom throughout the day while her mother attended school and her dad worked. Snider said they believe this went on for six months or more.

His testimony detailed the last 24 hours of the toddler’s life. He alleged Candice Boles knew her daughter had suffered abuse at the hands of her father the night before she was found unresponsive and did nothing.

The father allegedly became upset at the toddler after she clogged a toilet and flooded the house. The alleged abuse, as punishment for flooding the house, led to her death, Snider testified. He said the autopsy revealed she died from blunt force trauma.

The father, Torres Boles, faces one count of felony murder and one count of cruelty to children. His preliminary hearing was March 25 and also was moved forward. He is being held without bond.

A grand jury is expected to consider indictments in May.
