COVINGTON — Members of the Liberty County High School FFA chapter attended the Georgia FFA Greenhand Jamboree and Success Conference, held March 8-9 at the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center.
At the jamboree, FFA members developed leadership skills such as teamwork and communication, took part in an FFA-quiz competition and met with more than 100 ninth-grade members from across the state. Liberty County High School FFA members in attendance at the Greenhand Jamboree included Nicole Esterbrook, Kasity Dixon, Jishaun Harris and Tyler Raiford.
Members of the Liberty County chapter who attended the Success Conference included Anna Reaves, Juliann Esterbrook, Elacha Roman, Morgan Mitchell, C. Jeremy Scott, Brandon Collum, Christopher Williamson and Logan Kelly.
The National FFA Organization, formerly known as the Future Farmers of America, changed its name in 1988 to reflect the growth and diversity of agriculture.
