Many families often wonder what will happen to their children after high-school graduation, and the thoughts can be especially daunting for parents of students with disabilities.
With the school year nearing its end, the Liberty County School System will hold two information sessions next week for families to learn about options for transitioning their children to life after school.
The sessions are 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Liberty County School System Performing Arts Center, 2140 E. Oglethorpe Highway.
Speakers for the sessions are vocational counselor Beth Mitchell from the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation and Tisha Albury, a case manager from the Division for Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities NOW/COMP Waiver programs. Both will discuss services available for those who qualify.
