April 27
DUI — A Hinesville man was arrested for DUI at Highway 84 and Miller Street in Hinesville around 3 a.m.  after deputies saw him driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. The man said he had a “few beers” at Bo Maz and was wearing a Bo Maz wristband. He reportedly did not perform well on the field sobriety test and blew a .242 blood-alcohol content. He was taken to jail and issued a court date.

DUI, driving while license suspended or revoked — A Hinesville woman was arrested for DUI and driving without a current license at Carter Road and Pamela Drive in Walthourville shortly before midnight. The vehicle’s tag light was not working, which was the cause for the traffic stop, but the woman appeared to have been drinking and reported that her license was at home before providing a state ID card. The woman reportedly blew a .261 and performed poorly on the sobriety test. The was taken to jail and issued a court date.

April 28
Matter of record — A Midway woman reported a verbal altercation with a man after the fact that reportedly happened after the man overheard the woman threatening his dog, who reportedly charged her in an aggressive manner while she walked on West First Street. The woman reportedly told the dog’s owner she would shoot it to protect herself if she had to, and a short time later the man knocked on her door and said he was “old school” and believed in “an eye for an eye.”
