Wayne Memorial in Chairman's Circle

13 other Georgia hospital earn honor

POSTED: June 30, 2013 4:30 p.m.

JESUP — Because of its accomplishments in the patient-safety arena during 2012, Wayne Memorial Hospital has been named to the Georgia Hospital Association’s Hospital Engagement Network’s Chairman’s Circle. The honor is the second-highest in network’s recognition program and places the hospital in the 90th percentile or above. Only 13 other Georgia hospitals in the network finished in the Chairman’s Circle.
“Thanks to the leadership and commitment of the staff at Wayne Memorial, we are well on our way to achieving these significant, life-saving goals,” said Joseph Parker, President and CEO of the Georgia Hospital Association.
Wayne Memorial Hospital CEO Joe Ierardi said, “The honor of being selected to the Chairman’s Circle reaffirms our physicians and employees’ efforts of providing world-class health care each day to each patient. As always, patient safety is our top priority and we will continue to push forward with improvements.”
The Hospital Engagement Network is a national contract awarded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which engages hospitals across the country to improve patient safety and quality, and achieve lower costs.
