In response to the July 31 Sound off, Hinesville’s too small to have a mall. And as far as being an economic hub — forget it, ain’t no way. The average person does not earn $45,000 a year, unless you’re a doctor or a lawyer or an accountant or something like that. Then people make that kind of money. The rest of us are poor in this population. When this town gets bigger, then we’ll have a mall.

Can you tell me how come the board of education will not do anything about kids not being enrolled in school for more than three years, because they are enrolled in the Georgia home-school program and they said there is nothing they can do about it. The kids don’t get tested or nothing. The parents don’t even have a high school diploma, and yet they’re not required to go to school and there’s nothing they can do about it? I thought it was against the law. I’m very appalled. My kids have to go to school to get an education.

I’d kind of like to know why is it every time you walk in Walmart, you have to be hassled by all these people trying to sell you Direct TV. I didn’t go to Walmart to buy a TV, I don’t want their products and I’m tired of their products. It’s a dadburned shame that Walmart has to have this kind of sales techniques to the point where it’s absolute harassment.
