For the second time in less than a week, Hinesville police responded to an alleged bomb threat at Walmart. It was business as usual the second time around; store management apparently did not order an evacuation as they had on Sept. 6.

Several Hinesville police officers who were on the scene said they were not authorized to offer details on the case. However, Capt. Johnetta Reed did confirm the complainant who had reported the first threat also reported the second.

When asked if Walmart would evacuate shoppers, Reed replied, “It’s not up to us. We’re just here to help.”

The Courier will follow this story as it develops.
