Sept. 10: Burglary-forced entry, residence — A Sequoia Lane man said he left for work at 8:30 a.m. and came home at 8:26 p.m. and noticed his side door was open.
He said the only thing missing was a laptop computer.
The man said he had not been home all day. The officer noted pry marks on the door near the deadbolt, and the door jamb was split.
The complainant was given a case number and told his house would be added to the police department’s “house check list.”

Suspended vehicle registration — An officer stopped a Chevy Cavalier on West Gen. Screven Drive and Fraser Circle for a center-lane violation.
The driver gave the officer his license and his insurance card, but could not find his registration.
The officer ran checks on the license and insurance, both of which were valid, but found the vehicle’s registration was suspended.
The driver said he wasn’t aware of the suspension.
The vehicle was towed to city impound, and the driver was given a completed vehicle inventory sheet.

Sept. 11
Stolen license plate — An E.G. Miles Parkway resident called police when his wife noticed the license plate was missing from their vehicle.
The man asked his neighbor if he saw anyone take it, and the neighbor said someone in a white Toyota got out of the car and took it around 2 a.m. that day.
The man asked the neighbor why he didn’t alert him to the theft, to which the neighbor replied, “Because I am not a snitch.”
