Former Tigers doing well in college ranks

Former Bradwell Institute track-and-field standout Josh McCullan had a great first season as a true-freshman long jumper for the Alabama Crimson Tide track and field team.
McCullan started the indoor season by setting a personal best at the Southeastern Conference Championships, finishing in ninth place with a long jump of 23 feet, 8.75 inches, according to rolltide.com.
He finished fifth at the Marl Colligan Invitational with a mark of 22-11.25 and placed 11th at the Auburn Invitational with a jump of 22-7.25. McCullan was 15th in his first collegiate long jump at 21-4.25 at the Crimson Tide indoor opener.
The Tide just completed their outdoor season, where McCullan finished 14th at the SEC Outdoor Championship with a season-high mark of 23-4. He placed fourth with a mark of 22-7.75 at the LSU Alumni Gold.
He finished eighth at the Spec Towns Invitational, hitting 23- .05 and finished 10th at the Crimson Tide Invitational at 21-0.
Former Bradwell sprinter Quintunya Chapman wrapped up her second year as a sprinter and jumper for the Georgia Bulldogs. During the indoor season, Chapman was 13th in the 400-meter dash and 18th in the 200 dash at the Auburn Invite. She clocked her season-best finish of 24.98 seconds in the 200 dash and 56.11 in the 400 dash at the Razorback Invitational.
During the outdoor season, Chapman ran on the winning 4x200 relay team and was a member of the sprint medley relay team that placed second at the Drake Relays. She placed fourth in the 400 dash with a time of 54.76 at the War Eagle Invite and placed eighth at the Spec Towns Meet with a leap of 19-1.25.
