Without naming any names, I think the retired Army Vietnam veteran who I served with on Fort Stewart and who submits letters to your paper on a weekly basis should run for mayor or even for president. He seems to know all the answers to our state of economy and security of our nation. Personally speaking, I think he’s a nut.

The tea party should be held as a terrorist group. They held the American people hostage for 16 days and caused $26 billion worth of damage to our economy. That is more than what al-Qaida did.

I’m 66 years old, never owned or wanting a computer, so in computer talk, what does the word “hashtag” mean? I first heard about it describing a car in a car commercial. I live out in Midway, and we’ve had this guy in our neighborhood who keeps putting concrete blocks in the road — not in his yard, but in the road. So many cars have hit them and crumbled them up, they’ve turned into rocks. Now grass is growing on the road, ruining the asphalt. He keeps putting more concrete blocks in the road. Would you call the police? The DOT? Confront the man? What would you do?
