POSTED: November 6, 2013 9:59 a.m.

Georgia Southern will go into Saturday’s final home game looking to stop a losing streak.
Last Saturday’s 16-14 loss to Furman in Statesboro made it two straight losses for the Eagles and three defeats in their last four games.
According to, GSU (4-4 overall, 2-4 in the Southern Conference) got the ball back with 6:48 to play on a fumble recovery by  Rafael Hardee at the Eagles 23.
However, four plays later,  GSU’s Irving Huggins fumbled the ball back to the Paladins (4-5, 3-2) at the Eagles 45 with 5:06 left. The Paladins ran out the clock on the ensuing drive, converting two third-down chances on the way.
The Eagles will host Western Carolina on Saturday for their homecoming game and senior day. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.
