Sept. 29: Theft by taking (firearm) — A woman told police her silver-and-black handgun was missing. She said the last time she saw the gun was when she had placed it under the mattress.
The woman told officers she lives alone and needs the gun for protection.
She said the only other person who had access to her home was the exterminator, who came to her home last month when she was at work.

Oct. 10
Simple battery, FVA, criminal trespass  — A caller warned police of a possible fight taking place near an apartment-complex Dumpster. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a man and his wife who told him everything was fine.
The woman told police she and her husband had a few drinks earlier in the evening. She said her husband began to yell at her and said things were not the same since he had returned from his first deployment. She said she and her husband argued after they arrived home, and she went outside to sit in the car.
She said her husband came outside, and she told him she did not want to talk. The woman said her husband then grabbed something and broke the driver’s side window. She told police she had pieces of glass in her foot.
The woman said she and her husband had only been married a week, and she did not understand what was going on between them, that she had known her husband all her life and did not want him arrested. The husband said he followed his wife out to the car to talk to her.
He said he became upset and broke the window but did not mean to hurt his wife.
