Attention all pet owners: Do you love and want to honor your pets past and present? Why not have their name put on an ornament on the animal shelter’s Christmas tree this year when you make a donation of any kind? It can be a bag of food, blankets, toys or even a bottle of bleach. Anything that you buy for your own pet, they also need at your local shelters. When giving this year, please remember the less fortunate that have four legs as well.

Oh my God. I was just out at Liberty humane shelter and saw this man in a green shirt and black pants throwing stuff in a county vehicle and screaming at other people in green shirts and black pants. I think that’s verbal abuse, what I saw, and I’d really like to see something done about it.

I’m calling in reference to the caller who talked about the wheelchair emblem on the license plate of people who aren’t in wheelchairs. I’m one of those people, and I’m very blessed that I’m able to just walk around without the use of a wheelchair. However, I have devices that I use — the power chair, a cane and a walker. But if you see me walking around after I park in the handicapped spot, it is because it’s one of the most blessed days of my life and I’m able to walk without the assistance of any of those devices. Not only that, but I think you should read “walk by faith and not by sight” in the Bible.

If you phased in the Common Core standards, aren’t you depriving the early phased-in students? If Becky Carter thinks that Common Core should be phased in, perhaps it’s really not that relevant. The federal government shouldn’t be telling states what to teach the students. Teachers have the summer, holidays and weekends to recover from stress. Common Core is dummying down students to a greater degree than already exist.
