POSTED: April 2, 2008 5:00 a.m.
Kroger will open a new store in Richmond Hill Thursday.
Features of the new store, at 53 Exchange Street, range from a Starbucks Coffee to a gas station.
The public is invited to celebrate the opening, hosted by local managers and associated. There will be a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. City officials and community leaders are also expected to attend, and entertainment will be provided.
The new store replaces the store formerly at 9701 Ford Ave. to make way for the new location. The new Kroger includes expanded product lines and amenities.
Besides the coffee shop and gas station, the new, 75,755-square-foot store features numerous amenities and enhancements; drive-thru pharmacy, natural foods department, expanded deli, bakery and full-service meat department and seafood departments.
