3rd Infantry Division Commanding General Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch and Division Command Sgt. Maj. Jesse L. Andrews case the division’s colors in a ceremony Thursday marking the departure of the division headquarters. Lynch, Andrews and more than 1,000 headquarters troops will deploy to Iraq beginning next week on a historical third deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
