These opinions are not the Courier’s. Callers are not required to identify themselves, so we can neither verify sources nor their motives. Call 876-3733 to leave a message.

In last Friday’s paper, I don’t understand the caller in Sound off who complained about the poly-cart ordinance. I don’t know why it would fail just because the current city administration gave itself a pay raise. I don’t see any correlation between the two.

In reference to the poly-cart placement and removal on a timely basis, I hope the councilmen will take into consideration senior citizens, the physically handicapped and people who are out of town. These circumstances affect timely placement and removal. We don’t always have someone to help, and we don’t feel comfortable with everyone in our yards.

I would love to see a young African-American male that has graduated from Bradwell or Liberty on the front page of the Coastal Courier for academic success. Really? Are sports all that our young African-American males are known for? Come on, Coastal Courier, I’m sure you can do better than that.

This is in regards to your lead item in today’s Courier about the LCDA. You lack one important information, and that is what is the total debt of the LCDA. Without that, I think you’ve got an incomplete article.
