Curves held a ribbon cutting Dec. 19 at 230 W. Gen. Screven Way, No. 106 in Hinesville in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce.
Owner DeLisa Espada welcomed staff, friends and chamber staff to the event. Chamber board member Joe Ford gave a welcome and congratulations.
Espada introduced her staff of three trainers and thanked everyone for attending, especially Mayor James Thomas and County Commission Chairman Donald Lovette. Thomas and Lovette both congratulated Espada on the business acquisition and wished Curves much success.
“This is an enhancement to the quality of life for our residents in Hinesville. My only question is, do they have Curves for men.?” Thomas joked. “But seriously, it’s always good to see businesses engaged with the community.”
Espada took ownership of Curves in July 2013. As an entrepreneur, she said she wanted to look into franchise opportunities and Curves fit the bill.
“I believe in changing lives, and Curves lets you do that,” Espada said. “They are changing women’s lives one at a time.”
Curves is open from 7:30 a.m.-noon Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 3-7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 3-6 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m.-noon and 3-7 p.m. Thursday.
