No snow is forecast for Coastal Georgia, even though winter storm warnings and watches have been issued for north and central parts of the state.

The National Weather Service's Charleston office is forecasting colder weather for us, a high of 52 Tuesday and 46 on Wednesday, but overnight lows are not expected to get below freezing. Tonight is expected to get down to the high 40s, Tuesday night about 40 and Wednesday night in the high 30s.

A slight chance of rain is forecast for tonight, after 2 a.m., with as much as a 60 percent chance Tuesday and 80 percent Wednesday.

Elsewhere around the state, the forecast is for that rain and colder temperatures to leave several inches of snow and possible ice in the mountains. The southern boundary for any weather like that is expected to be around Warner Robins.
