STATESBORO — Georgia Southern University will host five spring Family Days for students and their parents.
The University’s Office of Orientation and Parent Programs has planned events March 8 and April 19 in Statesboro and March 29 and April 12 in Atlanta.
On March 8 and April 19, families are invited to J.I. Clements Stadium to attend an Eagle baseball game against Holy Cross in March or Samford in April.
Deadlines to register are March 3 and April 14, respectively.  Game tickets are $4 per person. Georgia Southern students receive free admission with a valid student ID.
At the March event, families are invited to cheer on the Gwinnett Gladiators at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
Tickets are $15 per person for premium seats. The deadline to register is March 24.
The April event is with the Atlanta Braves. Families can attend the game between the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals and a pre-game tailgate experience.
Deadline to register is March 23.
“We are very excited to provide five spring Family Days and welcome parents back to campus to visit their students,” said Erin Butler, assistant director of admissions, orientation and parent programs.
“We hope families will build their own experience and take advantage of all our campus has to offer. We are also looking forward to hosting parents and students in Atlanta. The Braves event has been popular in years past, and this is our first time with the Gwinnett Gladiators. We are anticipating a lot of excitement about these events.”
