These opinions are not the Courier’s. Callers are not required to identify themselves, so we can neither verify sources nor their motives. Call 876-3733.

Editor’s note: Hinesville public-relations manager Krystal Hart provided the following information regarding a recent Sound off call about loud dogs: Loud dogs are regulated under noise ordinance No. 1996-04. Residents who have neighbors in violation should call the non-emergency number at 368-3911.  An officer will respond to investigate possible violations. Only five animals per household are allowed in city limits.

I wish you all would use the logo that the Bryan County News uses for Sound off  — that nice young woman looking thoughtful and reflective as she places her call. That angry young man you’ve got yelling in your phone isn’t really the kind of person you guys want to hear from, I don’t think.
Editor’s note: The Courier does use the photo with the young woman. The News uses the yelling man.

One cannot be a prior veteran. Either one is a veteran or one is not a veteran. It’s impossible to be a prior veteran.

I would like to know when the lines around town in Hinesville, on the street lines, are going to be repainted. Some are too faded, and this could be a very, very serious accident hazard.

Why was it that during the Bush/Cheney administration, rising gas prices were looked upon as a right-wing conspiracy to benefit Bush and Cheney? Now the prices are going up and up and up, but no one ever says anything about the Obama/Biden conspiracy. What gives? It’s just more left-wing bias.
