POSTED: May 21, 2014 11:20 a.m.

The Toronto Blue Jays have moved Long County native Dustin McGowan to the bullpen from the starting rotation, according to nbcsports.com.
McGowan, a right-handed pitcher who returned to the starting rotation this season after battling injuries for several years, had a 2-2 record with a 5.08 earned-run average in eight starts. In his most-recent start, McGowan gave up nine hits and four earned runs in four innings in a 15-4 loss to Cleveland last Wednesday in Toronto.
According to ESPN.com, he made an appearance Sunday against Texas in Arlington, Texas, and pitched 2/3 inning of hitless relief. Last season, he pitched in 25 games in relief, posting 26 strikeouts and a 2.45 ERA in 25 2/3 innings.
