Faith Baptist Christian Academy held its graduation ceremony May 16 in Ludowici, sending 17 seniors out into the world.
Pastor Terry Sellars said this year’s class was the most diverse in the school’s history, given that eight of the graduates are from abroad. They came from many corners of the world — as close as Ludowici and as far as Bulgaria.
Before a packed church, Sellars challenged the seniors to remember the overruling providence of God. He reminded them that there are no accidents or coincidences in life because everything happens to glorify God and for His purpose. He told the students they have their whole lives in front of them and, if they stay close to God, they can achieve anything.
“Someone once put it this way: I can do everything that God asks me to do with the help of Christ, who gives me the strength and power to do it,” Sellars said.
Principal Earl Kicklighter also addressed the audience, telling attendees that all of their students are special.
“This class has an amazing future ahead of them. God has a unique plan for each and every one of them. I challenge them to go out and make an impact on other’s lives,” Kicklighter said.
Sellars and Kicklighter then administered diplomas.
This year’s graduates are William Parker (Ludowici), Dalton Beasley, Blaine Robinson, Evan Welter (all of Hinesville), Daniel Brooks (Gum Branch), Alec Dent, Caleb Lynn (both of Jesup), Kyle Whitlock (Glennville), Durrell Charles, Alex Hanson, Raul Chevalier, Connor Stewart (all of England), Shaquille Evans (Bahamas), Jesus Mendosa (Venezuela), Daniela Correa (Columbia), Alex Miller (Bulgaria) and Trevor Leatherwood (Memphis, Tennessee).
