Also, Alena Edwards placed third in forms and first in sparring. Armando Toledo placed second in both forms and sparrin. LaTonya Jones placed second in sparring and first in forms. Alex Smith placed third in forms and first in sparring. Joshua Watts placed first in forms and second in sparring and Mychael Conyers placed second in both forms and sparring.
Overall, it was an impressive win for the club, but they aren’t stopping there. Many of these athletes as well as many more of the Sport Taekwondo center members are preparing for upcoming tournaments in Rome and Smyrna and the USA Taekwondo National Qualifier in Miami, Fla.
First, second and third place finishers at Miami will qualify for the USA Taekwondo National/Junior Olympic Championship in San Jose, Calif.
