After a successful 2006 season, the St. James Coastal Crew Rebels are ready to get 2007 under way.
The 14-under and 15-under teams travel to Augusta to compete in the Ice Breaker. The 14-under team tips off at 8:20 tonight to play Augusta Power and the 15-under team tips off at 9,  playing the South Carolina Shockers.
The 12/13 team travels to Columbus to compete in the RiverFest Classic. Their opponent has yet to be determined.
“I am very excited about putting the Rebels back on the road,” Coastal Crew director Ernie Walthour Sr. said. “The kids are fired up about playing in tournaments on the road and are ready to go up there and compete.”
Meanwhile, the Lady Mavericks will be playing at the St. James Center in Holmestown on Saturday. At noon, the 14-under team plays the Savannah Angels. At 1 p.m., the 12-under team plays the Angels and at 2 p.m. Fort Stewart’s 14-under girls play Effingham County.
