Courier deliveries delayed Friday morning

POSTED: September 20, 2008 5:00 a.m.
The press that prints the Coastal Courier broke down Thursday night, delaying delivery of the Friday’s paper.
“We apologize to our subscribers and are currently trying to get our papers delivered as soon as possible,” Courier Publisher Mark Griffin said.
Circulation Director Johnny Brown said papers arrived in Hinesville just before 8 a.m. They normally are here by 2 a.m.
That delay is also slowing home delivery because traffic comes into play.
“A route that takes a couple hours when there’s no traffic out can take four hours when there are a lot of other cars out,” Brown said.
Griffin said subscribers will get their papers as quickly as possible.
The Courier’s printer is in Statesboro.
