Editor: The board of directors of Seven Ministries of Liberty County, Inc. would like to once again thank the community for helping make our Annual Christmas Giveaway a success.

With your help, we were able to deliver 233 hams and 75 turkeys to deserving senior citizens throughout Liberty County.

This is our last event of the year and by far our biggest undertaking, as we covered every corner of Liberty County (a few in Long County too). 2017 has been a great year for our organization. We get started every spring with our primary fundraiser, the Jackie Gilliard-Henderson Memorial Scholarship Walk-a-Thon. The proceeds from this event help makes the others things we do possible. From our Back-to-School Rally at Rebecca’s Place where we give away school supplies, to supporting the Manna House and other benevolent food banks, to providing clothes, food, and shelter for the homeless, to assisting with utility bills for those down on their luck, and just being there for those in need, we’re nothing without the support from you.

As we close out 2017 and prepare for the new year, we look forward to even bigger things in 2018 and of course, we ask that you continue to support us as we try to do "a little for a lot"…..

Happy holidays.

Gilliard is president and CEO of Seven Ministries of Liberty County, Inc.
