Hundreds of guests turned out for the kickoff party Thursday for the Coastal Living and Cottage Living Holiday Coastal Cottage at Yellow Bluff, which start offering public tours Monday.
Proceeds go to United Way.
Tour hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday through Dec. 14. The $10 tickets cost will go to benefit the 37 member agencies of United Way of the Coastal Empire.
The cottage features the latest in Energy Star and LEED-H designations for minimal environmental impact  and energy conservation. The home will be featured in the November/December editions of Coastal Living and Cottage Living magazines.
In an effusive email following the event, Debbie Brown, wife of Yellow Bluff principal Allen Brown and a mover and shaker in her own right, wrote, “I have to stop and say I was blown away by the party.”
Yellow Bluff is being developed as a residential community of townhomes and cottages which will feature extensive amenities in a coastal location.  It was chosen a Residential Community of Distinction for the Pulse on America television’s America’s Best series.
