Nearly 200 high school seniors attended the fifth annual Scholars Day at Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
To be invited students scored a minimum of 1200 on the SAT and have strong academic averages in high school. The participants examined student organizations, academic and services and interviewed for scholarships.
Local students who participated event include Leo Maldonado of Hinesville, who is a Bradwell senior and Carly Patterson of Midway, who is a Liberty County High senior
