Runoff set for Senate seat

With neither incumbent Republican Saxby Chambliss nor Democratic challenger Jim martin receiving enough votes, a runoff has been called to decide who will represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate for the next six years.

Voters will go back to the polls Dec. 2 to make the decision.

Here's a summary of statewide voting for some of the more high profile seats in Tuesday's contests:

3,269 of 3,303 precincts - 99 percent

John McCain, GOP 2,020,680 - 52 percent

Barack Obama, Dem 1,809,884 - 47 percent

Bob Barr, Lib 28,422 - 1 percent

U.S. Senate

3,267 of 3,303 precincts - 99 percent

Saxby Chambliss, GOP (i) 1,839,904 - 50 percent

Jim Martin, Dem 1,725,744 - 47 percent

Allen Buckley, Lib 126,234 - 3 percent

U.S. House District 8

273 of 277 precincts - 99 percent

x-Jim Marshall, Dem (i) 156,897 - 57 percent

Rick Goddard, GOP 117,314 - 43 percent

U.S. House District 10

322 of 324 precincts - 99 percent

x-Paul Broun, GOP (i) 177,109 - 61 percent

Bobby Saxon, Dem 114,463 - 39 percent

U.S. House District 12

326 of 331 precincts - 98 percent
