The Liberty County Recreation Department is sponsoring the AARP Driver Safety Program from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 7-8 at the Shuman Center in Hinesville. AARP developed the eight-hour classroom refresher course to help drivers improve their skills and prevent crashes. The class covers age-related physical changes in preception and reaction time, rules of the road and local driving problems. For more information or to register for this course, call Charles Shuman at 876-2223 or Don Emmons 884-2806.
