Maintenance barn burns at mobile home park
While the Ludowici/Long County Fire Department was fighting a woods fire Monday that destroyed about 90 acres on Elim Church Road, additional units were dispatched to Sandy Ridge Drive on the opposite side of the county in response to a structure fire.

Two men face drug charges
Two men are facing drug-related charges after being arrested Saturday by Ludowici police. According to police investigator Richard Robertson, Corp. Frankie Goff and Officer Walt Pelton were watching a home at 28-C Macon Street for possible drug activity. Blue Tide baseball team holds rec night for players, coaches
The Blue Tide baseball team recently held its annual Recreation Night in Long County. Around 50 players and coaches who are participating in the T-ball, softball and baseball programs came out for the night. Recreation department Director Michelle Rogers said more than 400 children will be playing this year.
