Farm Day held in Long County

Last week, the annual Farm Day Celebration was held in Long County. Farmers and agricultural staff brought in their equipment and livestock to show local students the importance of the agricultural industry. This year, exhibits included forestry, fur trapping, livestock and large equipment. One of the children's favorite displays was an "old-time" cornhusking demonstration. Tide end spring practice with a scrimmage

After two weeks of spring practice and conditioning, the Blue Tide football team dressed out Thursday for its annual Blue and White Scrimmage. Both the varsity and junior varsity squads saw plenty of action as parents and fans cheered from the bleachers. Head coach Ron Flott said the game went well, and all of the players enjoyed being back on the field.
