Farm Day held in Long County

Last week, the annual Farm Day Celebration was held in Long County. Farmers and agricultural staff brought in their equipment and livestock to show local students the importance of the agricultural industry. This year, exhibits included forestry, fur trapping, livestock and large equipment. One of the children's favorite displays was an "old-time" cornhusking demonstration. Lady Tide fall in first round of state

The Long County High School softball team's season came to an end on Wednesday as they lost a best of two-out-of-three series to Berrien County in the first round of the state playoffs. According to Lady Tide Head Coach Brian Thomas his team lost to the Rebels 8-0 and in the first game and then 3-0 in the second game. The games were in Nashville.
