Tuesday morning's jury trial for suspected killer Richard Earl Geiger was postponed until a future date. Geiger's public defender, Brett Williams, had to leave the court room when he received notification of a family health issue. Geiger allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, Rosie L. Smith, to death after a domestic dispute and reportedly hid her body in the closet of her Raintree Apartments home in March 2007. A mobile home fire Sunday morning in the 3800 block of E.B. Cooper Highway displaced a husband and wife and their granddaughter. Charlie Houston and his family had lived in the home for more than 15 years.

A Hinesville woman, Charise Frasier, 30, was killed in a single-car accident early this morning, according to Georgia State Patrol Trooper A.M. Cheney .
No charges have been filed in the accident last week that took the lives of a Statesboro grandmother and her 3-year-old grandson.
The two people killed in a Tuesday evening wreck near Riceboro have been identified.
