The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for much of Southeast Georgia and South Carolina, including Liberty, Bryan and Long counties.

Early morning crash kills teen

Kelly Moore, 19, of Liberty County was killed early this morning in a single-car wreck on Highway 196.

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper T. Gaskin, Moore was traveling east on Highway 196, when she lost control of her automobile near the Rye Patch Road intersection. Gaskin said Moore's car crossed the highway, flipped and hit a pine tree.

Shots fired at kids getting off bus

Search for Pembroke woman suspended

The search for the elderly North Bryan woman who has been missing since July 18 has been suspended. According to Bryan County Emergency Management Director Jim Anderson, officials are now to the point that "we literally do not know where else to look."

Local agencies hellp U.S. marshals in sweep

Members of the Liberty County Multi Agency Crack Enforcement Drug Task Force and the Liberty County Sheriff's Office assisted the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force in a succesful raid under operation Federal and Local Cops Organized Nationally. The operation led to the arrests of 326 people in the region, 1,927 statewide and 190 nationally during the second week of July.

Molester pleads guilty, gets 10 years probation

A 48-year-old Hinesville woman accused of molesting an 8-year-old relative entered a guilty plea before Liberty County Superior Court Judge D. Jay Stewart and received a 10-year probated sentence Thursday.

Police: Soldier slain for car, ID

SAVANNAH - A Georgia-based soldier charged with killing an Army buddy was days away from being kicked out of the military and may have committed the crime to steal the victim's car and identity, a police detective testified in court Wednesday.

Savannah-Chatham County police say Pvt. Sylvester Denmark Horton shot Spc. Necco McCraw four times and left his body on a dirt road near the Savannah River on July 2.
