The Heritage Bank on Butler Avenue in Midway was robbed around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Special Agent Stephen Emmett with the Atlanta Division of the FBI. The FBI is handling the investigation.

SAVANNAH - After a one-day trial, a jury in the U.S. District Court returned a guilty verdict Wednesday against Andre Jamaal Guyton of Ludowici on two counts of distributing controlled substances in Liberty County. Liberty County EMA reviews projects for emergency plan

The Liberty County Emergency Management Agency held a review and update meeting yesterday for the county's Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan is updated every five years, with city and county officials developing an action plan for emergencies. Attendees were asked to review projects listed in the plan for their jurisdiction from 2010, then revise projects, add new ones or eliminate unnecessary projects.
