LCSO child-porn investigation snares 5

As part of a statewide crackdown on Internet crimes against children, the Liberty County Sheriff's Office arrested four adult suspects and one juvenile April 5 in connection with the distribution of child pornography over the Internet. LCSO Detective Chuck Woodall said a total of 16 individuals in the county were round up as part of this multi-agency effort during the past two and a half months.

Victim of fiery crash identified

The man killed in an early Thursday wreck on southbound I-95 has been identified. The wreck caused a fiery explosion and tied up traffic throughout the area for hours.

Area women learn self-defense at RAD class

Twenty women from the Hinesville community met Tuesday at the YMCA of Coastal Georgia to learn about self defense through the Rape Aggression Defense training program hosted by the Hinesville Police Department. All over the building, shouts of "No!" could be heard, drawing the attention of passersby as the women learned to use personal weapons and their voices to defend themselves and escape attackers.
