Water outages to affect Jacks Hill

Beginning Monday, Dec. 19, residents in the Jacks Hill area should expect intermittent water outages on portions of Flora Ellen, Deerwood, Menus, Pear Orchard, and Martin roads. Full service should be restored before Thursday, Dec. 22.

Officials identify 2 homicide victims

Authorities released the identities Thursday of a male and a female who were found dead around 1 p.m. Tuesday by two fishermen in Long County. According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Tiffany Renee York, 17, and Michael Roark, 20, were found slain in a wooded area off Morgan Lake Road.

Nov. 30: After responding to an altercation in the parking lot of a restaurant on E.G. Miles Parkway, patrol officers arrested a man for being a minor in possession of alcohol, obstruction and disorderly conduct. The man resisted arrest and continued to fight after being restrained by officers.
