July 16: Officers stopped a vehicle on West Oglethorpe Highway that reportedly was involved in a Long County burglary. They recovered several pills that were determined to be oxycodone, a schedule 2 narcotic. The driver and passenger both were charged with possession and intent to distribute. Officers also recovered a crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine during a search of the vehicle.
