Police need help in search of killer

On May 29, 2007 Damon A. Hardy was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Regency Terr. Apartment complex when he went outside to break up a group of people who started an argument. Exactly one year later his family and friends gathered at Troop Park, adjacent to the apartment complex, to honor his memory with a candle light vigil.

Survey indicates some not prepared for storm season

While not many coastal residents along the Southeastern United States will soon forget the experience of living through a hurricane, as the 2008 season approaches many may be experiencing a case of amnesia about the most basic preparedness strategies, according to a new survey out today from Allstate. While 24-44 percent of survey respondents from five areas in the Southeast declared they are very prepared, and 34-47 percent felt they are fairly prepared for a hurricane right now, they may be less prepared than they realize.

MACE report for April 2008

The Multi Agency Crack Enforcement Drug Task Force opened 83 total cases with 76 total offenders for the month of April. Drugs with an estimated street value of $96,325 were seized. Thee cars valued at $6,100 were seized and cash in the amount of $20,409.23 was collected as evidence. Four weapons were also confiscated. The agents continued their specialized training with courses such as Radar Re-certification, Unacceptable Employee Behavior, Marijuana ID and Savannah Area Drug Intel Exchange.
