A tentative trial has been scheduled for former Midway volunteer firefighter Calvin Chipp for May 29. He is charged with murder in the April 2005 death of Roger Harrell. They got into a fight at the Sky Box in Midway. A grand jury felt enough evidence was presented to proceed with a trial dated in the case that also alleges Chipp was in possession of a vehicle with altered identification during the reported offense.
