A hitchhiker was killed Wednesday morning in Riceboro as he was sleeping on a dirt road near Montague Street, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Oct. 27: A resident of Handy Street told police she paid a house-moving company $4,000 to relocate a home for her but the work was never done and she could not locate the subject whom she signed a contract with. Police found that previous complaints had been filed against the same company and were unable to make contact with the company's operators.
A wreck involving a Liberty County school bus and several vehicles occurred Tuesday morning before 8 a.m. on Highway 84 in Midway.
