Two teens injured in wreck

According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper SFC Thornell King, a woman, identified as Trenicia Hawes, 19, of Fort Stewart, suffered sever head injures in a wreck Saturday afternoon. The trooper said she was driving north on Old Hines Road in Flemington in a 1998 Nissan Altima around 2 p.m. with her 13-year-old nephew when the car ran off the lightly traveled, dirt road and hit a tree on the passenger side. One killed, seven injured by train in Jesup

One member of a Savannah-based Meddin Studios film crew shooting the Greg Allman biopic, "Midnight Rider," was killed in a train accident around 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon in Jesup, according to Wayne County Sheriff's Office Investigator Joe Gardner. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel. Seven others were injured, one of whom was taken by helicopter to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, where her condition is unknown.
