Dennis Fitzgerald and his wife, Brenda, were recently recognized by Gordon EMS of Calhoun County for their assistance in providing medical care to people involved in a serious accident on I-75 on June 20. The Fitzgeralds provided care for six occupants of a vehicle that had rolled over.

A Jesup woman apparently dreaming of a large payday reportedly filed a police report claiming she had been struck by a vehicle in Hinesville. However, she soon found herself under investigation and later was arrested for filing a false report.
