A rollover accident along Highway 84 left one person with injuries, and another rollover accident on South Main Street left a young father slightly shaken with his infant daughter, both occurring within days of each other according to Hinesville Police traffic investigator Lt. Max McLendon.

Fitzgeralds saluted for aiding wreck victims

East Liberty County American Legion Post 321 commander/Riceboro Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Dennis Fitzgerald and his wife, Brenda, were recently recognized by Gordon EMS of Calhoun County for their assistance in providing medical care to people involved in a serious accident on I-75 on June 20. The Fitzgeralds provided care for six occupants of a vehicle that had rolled over.

LCSO searching for robbery suspect

Late on the evening of Nov. 22, the Grab a Bag gas station on Leroy Coffer Highway was robbed by two armed men wearing all-black clothing. They demanded money and took lottery tickets. After learning the tickets were being cashed in at other locations by three people, the Liberty County Sheriff's Office and Georgia Lottery investigators identified the suspects as Domania Johnson of Hinesville, Jasmine Anderson of Hinesville and Jamal Roberts.
